The Thomas Corporation was first established in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1971. The founder, Edwin N. Thomas, started the company after 25 years of building successful ventures in retail, import/export and real estate. In 1992 the business enterprises were consolidated under one company name, Pacific Thomas Capital. Hawaii based activities are managed under the name Thomas Capital Investments. The new company incorporated the virtues of Thomas' prior ventures along with sound and conservative investment policies.
The Company's real estate activities has spanned throughout the Hawaiian Islands as well as U.S West Coast locations in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. The Company has been involved in all aspects of real estate, including but not limited to, investment analysis, project management, lease-to-fee conversion, tenant management, entitlement processing and demographic research. The most recent retail investments include Safe Storage and Budget Truck Rentals, and The Gateway Community development in Oakland, California.
In addition to real estate, Pacific Thomas Capital has expanded to other areas including its non-profit groups China SciTech Foundation, and Homeless Solutions.
